Kris Olafsson

Chief Executive Officer

Kris Olafsson has over 33 years of experience as Deputy Superintendent of Business Services with two large school districts in Los Angeles County. Currently, he holds the position as the Chief Executive Officer for the VIK Consulting Group. His responsibilities include client relations, business development and contract development duties. Mr. Olafsson has been in leadership of various large risk management joint powers authorities within the state of California and services as the leader of a non-profit Captive insurance company in the state of Hawaii. Currently he serves as an Executive Director of the latest Property/Liability JPA within California established in 2021.

Mr. Olafsson earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master of Arts Degree from University of Redlands.

Dan Alvarez

Dan Alvarez has over 35 years experience in risk mitigation, loss control and workplace investigations consulting. Since 1989 Mr. Alvarez has provided workplace investigations, loss control services and risk mitigation training to over 146, K12 school districts and community colleges in California.

Mr. Alvarez is a former Corporate Director of Security and Loss Prevention for multiple national insurance carriers. Currently Mr. Alvarez is a Licensed California Private Investigator (1989), Certified Fraud Examiner (1996), Certified Title IX Investigator (2018) and Certified COVID-19 Compliance Officer (2020).

Mr. Alvarez, in 2021 was awarded the prestigious “Investigator of the Year” award by the California Association of Licensed Investigators. Mr. Alvarez currently serves as a service provider to several JPAs and K12 school Districts in the State of California.

Camille Boden

Camille Boden has over 38 years in School District Management including the last 16 years as the Executive Director of Risk Management for Santa Ana Unified School District. Ms. Boden's prior experience in California school districts includes Assistant Superintendent, Business Manager and Director of Nutrition Services.

Ms. Boden has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with an Emphasis on School Business Management from Pepperdine University; a Certificate in School Business Management from California State University, Fullerton, a Certificate in School Facilities Planning from California State University, Riverside, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. Camille introduced and implemented the idea of Enterprise Risk Management in SAUSD. Risk Management had a focus on strategy and prioritization using the broadest definition of risk and involving the entire District.

Ms. Boden’s Risk Management experience includes Management of Property and Liability Programs including claims and lawsuits, Workers’ Compensation, Health Benefit Programs Interactive Process, OSHA Compliance, Safety, Loss Control and Risk Prevention, Emergency Management, and COVID Management -Contact Tracing and Absence Management.
